What Auburn told its own septic owners
The City of Auburn once handed out a homeowner's septic guide and maintenance record, adapted from a Gwinnett County folder. Its message was plain: the owner maintains, repairs or replaces every part of the system.↗
It also warned against repairs made without the health department permit, against driving or building over the tank and field, and against letting tree roots near the drain lines. When we open a failed Auburn system, we check for all three.↗
