The trigger is written notice from the city maintenance engineer. It can go to any owner whose property abuts a street, alley or right-of-way carrying city sewer within 100 feet of the lot line. From the notice date, the owner has 90 days and pays for the work.↗

What is McDonough's sewer tap fee for a house?
The code lists a proportionate-share connection fee of $1,665.77 for a 3/4-inch meter, the usual residential size, and $2,776.84 for 1-inch. The Water Department adds a tap-on fee for its labor, materials and equipment.

No. The code says the same connection fees apply to subscribers inside and outside the city limits, assessed per connection.
