Stockbridge sits on rolling Piedmont ground, and a ranch home on the low side of a road cannot always drain to the city line by gravity. The code wants the building sewer below the lowest floor and at least three feet above the connection point where possible.↗
When that is not possible, sewage has to be lifted by a method the city engineer or sewer superintendent approves in writing. We design the grinder or ejector setup, submit it for that approval, and install it with its alarm.↗
