The Monticello story
On Lake Jackson, the septic plan shapes the house
Georgia Power manages the Lake Jackson shoreline and reviews new homes on its lease lots. Its rules put the house outside the project boundary and back from the water, and they require the septic system, repair area included, to fit on the leased lot. When the three do not fit together, it is the dwelling that has to change.↗
So we start with the ground, not the floor plan: where the tank can sit, where a field and its reserve can go, and where a well can stay 100 feet away. The house plan then works inside that.↗
